Research on the Propagation Characteristics of High Frequency Partial Discharge Signal in Transformer

Abstract In order to study the information contained in high frequency partial discharge and influence of transformer winding on propagation signal, this paper injects small signals into external leads, internal enclosing screen 110kV three-phase double-winding simulate discharge, inside outside characteristics signal. The shows that signal is coupled from one others, can be detected at each detection end when occurs; consists high-frequency component low-frequency component, mainly propagated through capacitance between windings, windings; polarity first wave time domain different propagates point, same point. Among them, capacitor, components terminal are seriously attenuated.
